El Terreno is a pleasant zone of Palma that is situated on a slight elevation, which in turn, gives many of its properties some marvellous views over the city and some views that reach out to the sea. It is a quiet peaceful area and capable of supplying all that a family may need that decide to reside in its streets.
Sailing is the cream of the crop as far as water sports are concerned in the Bay of Palma. In these sports, various top Mallorcans have stood out who have competed in the World Championships and in the Olympic Games in our recent history. There are in existence a variety of sports clubs for training and practicing these water sports, of which the most outstanding are the Real Club Náutico de Palma, Escuela de vela Calanova and Club Náutico de Portitxol.
For playing this noble sport the clubs Club de Golf Son Vida and Son Gual are excellent both in the quality of their installations and the wide range of the services that they offer.
El Terreno, just as other zones in Palma, has gradually seen its value increased with the passing of the years. This is due to the fact that many Mallorcan people and no Mallorcan people have wished to move their residence to places away from the city, but without renouncing the commodities and services that the city offers.
